Die Zombie Die

The Ottawa Fringe Festival model is unique in two respects: it guarantees that the artists receive 100% of ticket revenue and it does not subject the artists’ work to jury approval or censor it in any way. Festival patrons enjoy physically and financially accessible arts experiences and the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogues with artists and fellow Fringe patrons.

I designed this multi-purpose triptych of posters for the hilarious “Die Zombie Die”, written by Richard Hemphill as part of their summer program one year. It examines a weird reality, where humans and zombies live together in mostly peaceful harmony.

With three interchangeable “mid-section” posters, and separate “head” and “tail” posters, they’re adaptable to many spaces and uses. All I honestly remember is a synopsis that included the words “Murderous Dachshund” and I was in from the start.
